Appetite for Violence in LA: MAGAReport 6/10/25

MAGA isn't planning to show up at the LA protests, but they are rooting for violence

Over the last year, I’ve been writing about how the MAGA community has a strong appetite for violence. As of now, they aren’t making plans for engaging in it themselves, but they have always rooted for the police and military to execute it at Trump’s command. That is ramping up again on the forums after Trump sent the National Guard to LA.

Below are some conversation excerpts and memes from the online forums that will give you a flavor of what’s happening there.

Note: I’m heading out to LA tomorrow to cover the protests. I don’t anticipate seeing many MAGAs there, but the situation is fluid. I’ll be posting some things live on Twitter and Bluesky at jengolbeck, and photos at the end of the day on Instagram. If anything relevant to pro-Trump communities happens there, I’ll report back here, too.
