I started the MAGAReport because people who know that I monitor far-right forums kept asking me if there was another January 6th or violent event in the works. The answer has consistently been “no”, but I anticipated as we closed in on the elections, that talk would pick up. I’m finally seeing that coalesce and it centers on Georgia.
CNN had a piece about hand-counting ballots in Georgia, and how that is usually done after the election as an audit. An official pointed out that, at the end of election day, volunteers were often tired and felt it was nerve-racking to count in front of people that night. The night-of hand count felt like it was setting people up to make mistakes. A clip of this video circulated on far-right forums there was some alarming talk in response, including calls for executions of poll workers.
Let’s put it this way. You either count the votes in a single night or you never count anything ever again.
Well, I'm fine if they count the days until they get let out of prison.
...count the days until the execution
No, the penalty for treason is clearly not prison
The last time someone was executed for treason in the US was in 1953
This was clearly too long ago. The obvious interim fix will likely turn out to be enthusiastic and thorough doxxings.Bootstrapping, as it were. Why would any good citizen expect their overworked and underfunded government to do something they were unwilling to do themselves.
Who gives a shit about Russia Korea or Argentina. America First. The ONLY punishment for Treason should be a Dirt Nap...
There is a lot of talk about election fraud on the forums. Georgia generally and Fulton County (home of Atlanta) specifically, are in the crosshairs. Mentions include:
The state election board is “recommending that outside election monitors be installed to run Fulton County's 2024 presidential election.”
“Basically there isn't a single patriot in Fulton or Cobb county. They allowed the steal there and did nothing to stop it. No one from there should be considered an American.”
“The ballot fraud in Fulton was televised and almost no one believed it was real. Just said too many people like Biden.”
Trump’s campaign is also organizing election monitors (and election workers, which is a whole other concern). I went to one of their trainings and while they were specific about not intimidating people, they repeatedly said “if you see anything wrong, write everything down and call us”. They will have Trump supporters in election stations observing, and with the kind of language we see in the posts above, I anticipate things will get spicy later in the day.
I had been leaning toward Atlanta as the hot spot I would cover on election night, and this really sealed it for me. I’m convinced enough that something might happen that I booked my flights and hotel today.
I will keep all of you updated, both about Atlanta and if threats emerge anywhere else (looking at you, Pennsylvania and Arizona).
