Today: Waiting for the response to Trump's TIME interview. No organized plans for violence or demonstration
Trump gave a rambling interview to TIME that was published yesterday. I strongly encourage you to look at the interview, which has his verbatim responses, and assess them for coherence. I’m going to make them sound clearer in the retelling than they actually were.
He was asked several times about political violence around the upcoming election. He said that he was confident he was going to win so there would be no need for violence. If he didn’t win, he said it would be because Democrats stole the election. TIME followed up and asked, in that case, if he lost, would there be violence? Trump responded “It always depends on the fairness of an election.” (which he just said would necessarily be unfair if he lost)
I suspect this interview is going to spur a lot of discussion in the forums, though it hasn’t hit them yet. Tomorrow, we’ll see what their take is.
