MAGAReport for 5/20/2024
Today: the usual pro-Trump and anti-government discussions but no organized plans for violence or demonstration
I started the MAGAReport because I get asked a lot of there are plans for something January 6th-like in the works. So far, there is nothing like that. However, there are often a lot of calls for violence ranging from executions to assaults to civil war. I am going to try to start working in some of those examples not because they are representative of the group’s sentiment right now (they definitely are not) but because I think it is important to keep an eye on how strong that appetite becomes.
Some quick examples from today:
‘Double government standards lead to revolution/rebellion.’
‘The People Rule the "Judge" must swing for Treason.’
And this excerpt from a thread about about Jennifer Welch who criticized Butker’s commencement speech:
(I will say that I’ve had threads like this one written about me and, while it seems like annoying shitposting when you’re not involved, it’s quite scary when it’s about you).
