Today: An extensive thread on civil war, but no organized plans

Today, we look at some extensive talk about civil war.

Christina Bobb (a lawyer who tried to overturn the 2020 election with Trump and who was indicted last month for her role in the Arizona fake electors plot) did an interview on Real America’s Voice with Steve Bannon. In the RAV interview, she claims that simply for joining Trump’s team, she was investigated by the FBI, US Marshalls, and is facing prison time. It’s true that she’s facing felony counts, but those are for allegedly committing actual felonies, not for simply working with Trump.

Someone shared a clip of this interview on the forums I monitor, and it really hit a nerve. It’s unclear if they don’t know why she is facing charges or if they don’t care, but the discussion treats her claims as though she is bring investigated and tried simply for questioning the integrity of the election. The rhetoric is violent and rageful, but the community also is self-aware enough to recognize that most of them are keyboard warriors who are not going to actually do anything.
