MAGA thinks No Kings was bad. They can't agree on how, but they do agree that violence is the answer

Millions of people turned up for No Kings protests against Trump across the US (and the world) yesterday. This kind of thing makes MAGA looks weak - one of the things they cannot stand - so that means they spin up a wide range of narratives to make the protests look weak instead. The main ones were (1) people didn’t know why they were there, (2) the protests were small (though a lot of the MAGAs felt like this was too far and agreed they were big), (3) it was only old people doing cringe boring stuff, or (4) it was violent. What they did agree on is that violence was the right way to deal with protesters.

There were a few threads commenting on protester-on-the-street interviews where the protesters, in my opinion, gave fairly coherent if slightly vague statements about why they were protesting. They said things like “We are in costumes to show we are not violent” and “We don’t want to lose our rights to protest” and “I oppose a lot of things Trump is doing”. But the MAGA commentary on these posts were that they had no idea why they were there.

Some posts argued that the protests weren’t very big. “FOX News (the traitors) said millions attended across the country. BULLSHIT”. and “All the Liberals were posting fake videos of huge crowds yesterday from different events. All they do is lie. You don’t have to do this if your event was successful.”

Others concede that the protests were very big (though also un-American):

• The one in my town was the biggest clown show I’ve ever seen. People in costumes, the cars going through were part of it, and street theatre is an accurate description. And no American flags in sight.

  • Same. But sadly it was the largest assembly I’ve ever seen in Loveland, CO. I’m 53. Anyone saying the dem party is dead should be punched in the throat. The other side is far more organized than ours.

    • I’m in Massachuestts. It is probably 4 out of 5 people here. Many are very smart. Doctors. Professors. Engineers. They just default to Democrat up here. You have no idea what it’s like unless you’ve lived it. They actually believe that the most evil people in the world are Southern Whites. And they will stop at nothing to force their morality on the world. NPCs are too benign for what is really happening. They deeply believe in process and bureaucracy. And they want to enforce it on everyone at all times.

MAGA influencer catturd wrote “Funny how the party of ‘diversity is our strength’ just had a No Kings protest that was 95% old white boomers.” which sparked it’s own long discussion. Another thread mocked a video of some people dancing, with the title “Donald Trump status: destroyed”. They went on to, like catturd, claim most protesters were older and white. They also blame this group for many conservative-perceived social ills:

• With respect to elderly / patriotic pedes, the boomer class of aggrieved white women and their cuckold husbands has literal blood on its hands. Sure, their political activism is cringey and weak. But the inverse pressure exerted across American society by these morally bankrupt harpies is half the reason we have young women getting raped and stabbed by people who never should’ve been let IN the country, or OUT of the prison / asylum. They are reckless, vapid and dangerous and you are correct to despise them.

  • They’re also the reason for the spread of faggotry.

Yet in Portland one conservative reporter described the scene outside the ICE facility as “war-like”:

Breaking: Federal police deploy endless rounds of tear gas and crowd control munitions to disperse unlawful crowd outside the ICE facility. War-like scenes as protesters launch munitions back at federal agents, starting fires.

ICE was shooting tear gas or smoke bombs at protesters, who were lobbing it back on occasion. But also, a person in a frog costume, a woman with a cane, and a person and their baby were also walking around out there, so war-like is quite an exaggeration.

The discussion on these protests in Portland did hit a point of consensus in the community regarding the use of violence and the importance (or lack thereof) of due process. Some comments:

• they should just shoot them all dead

• why are people talking about non-lethal? people on video laying siege to a federal law enforcement building are domestic terrorists and enemy combatants. anyone throwing a brick, molotov cocktail, etc, should just get splattered by a sniper. they keep this shit going only in these blue shitholes because they know blue communist judges will let them out.

  but there are a shitload of states where they don’t even try anything because the cops will not hesitate to put them down right there.

• Fuck that. Install Ma Deuces and shoot the faggots for real. If the tables were turned they would not hesitate to kill you.

  • I completely agree, but I don’t think everyone shares our opinion!

    So maybe start small, but then escalate if that doesn’t work, pew pew!

• Just fucking snatch these faggots in the middle of the night and take them on helicopter rides.

  Fuck their due process. Sick of this shit.

• The smoke bombs don’t seem to effective with all the gas masks. They should switch to something more kinetic like beanbag type rounds.

There was a large protest in Washington, but Trump did not stay in DC for the protests. From the AP:

Trump, meanwhile, was spending the weekend at his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida.

“They say they’re referring to me as a king. I’m not a king,” the president said in a Fox News interview that aired early Friday, before he departed for a $1 million-per-plate MAGA Inc. fundraiser at his club.
