First reactions to the shooter at the dinner
Hi Friends! I’m a member of the White House Correspondents Association, but I was not at the dinner tonight. Lots of my friends were, though, so hugs to all of them.
About an hour ago, someone apparently pulled a gun at the WHCA Dinner and was taken into custody. By the time you read this, we will probably know more, but there is not much known right now.
There is strict security at these events. I went last year, when Trump did not attend, and to get into the ballroom there were TSA-style magnetometers. The security was higher this year, as it as at any event the President is at. The gunman apparently confronted police at that security area outside the ballroom.
Despite not having much other information, the MAGA forums are in full reaction mode. This has been the most excited they have been in a long time.
They are starting with attacks on the press.
The room, full of fake news fuckers, was more upset about the event being cancelled than the safety of the president
Look at how happy they all were that gunman/xer made the attempt.
Upset they didnt get a story about their arch-nemesis being assassinated among their like-minded peers.
Fake News once again desperately trying to see Trump killed live. Trump needs to take the kiddie gloves off.
When they redo it, have ICE guard the whole thing with big guns.

Collateral damage is such a small thing... especially when their shirts/hats contain the letters “CNN”.
This image was shared on the forums and the posters are joking that he is trans. This is a running conspiracy theory / joke / trope on the forums to state that any mass shooter, political shooter, or attempted shooter is trans.

One of the more ominous comments is, “Is it time yet, Mr President?”. It’s a re-activation of the appetite for the power of the state to be deployed against Trump’s enemies.
